We have been hard at work designing the perfect crop tops that can double up as saree blouses for you. Here is a chic Ambar Charkha spun, handwoven, madder dyed naturally brown cotton crop top. Grown, handspun, handwoven in rural North Karnataka by both male and female farmers and weavers. This cotton variety is naturally brown in color, wholly rainfed and is naturally pest and drought resistant requiring no use of chemicals during cultivation.  To learn more about the heritage textile, process, care, materials and makers please read detailed description below.

Fabric: Handspun, Handwoven natural Brown Organic Cotton

Colors: Natural dye Madder Red Over Natural Brown

Care: Green dry cleaning, separate hand-wash in cold water and mild detergents or gentle wash cycle in washing machine with mild detergent.  Some color may wash off in first few washes. Natural brown color may become richer and stabilize after a first few washes. Avoid frequent washing, reverse dry in shade and iron on reverse is recommended to preserve the beauty of this fabric.

Made By: Grown and made by farmers, spinners, weavers who are part of the UDANTA textiles in North rural Karnataka, a wonderful land to loom initiative involving a special organic desi cotton variety which is naturally brown in color. Blouse Pattern made by NGO Master G and daughters. Blouses are sewn by Masterji Golam Mohd. in Calcutta, West Bengal under onsite supervision of designer Debashis Kundu.

Brown Cotton: This cotton variety is naturally brown in color, wholly rainfed and is naturally pest and drought resistant requiring no use of chemicals during cultivation.
