Made By: These sarees were handspun and handwoven in West Bengal by the team of expert hand spinners and weaver artisans at a Khadi Sansthan. These were first block printed using azo free dyes followed by printing in Akola using Indigo dyes, at Laxmi Chipa ji’s workshop in Rajasthan who has carried on this heritage technique practiced by 6 previous generations in his family. We have been training artisans in Mumbai to embroider and add detailing to our textiles and the beautiful hand sewn and embroidered tassels you see here on the pallu is done by Anjali.
